"The New Face of War" by Haden Blackman

The Jedi are there because Boss Nass has lost contact with the Gungan colony on Naboo's moon of Ohma-d'un, and suspects the Confederacy of being the cause.

Rugor Nass

When they land on the moon, they find the Gungans slaughtered by droids and are attacked by a person in armor calling himself Durge. He orders gas to be sent in. It's what killed the Gungans and it's now killing the Jedi. Durge cuts off Master Glaive's head.

Ventress then shows up to battle Obi Wan and Zule (Glaive's padawan) while Durge goes to chase Anakin and the clone from Kamino, whom Anakin names Alpha.

Ventress and Durge were waiting for them and killed all of the other Jedi except Obi-Wan. They left him alive because Count Dooku wants to turn Obi-Wan to the Dark Side and make him his apprentice.

Ti leads her troops into a prison on the planet where they find Lyshaa, Saguro Autem, and Ryyk, former prisoners. Lyshaa killed one of Ti's padawans (Fe Sun) in order to make a dangerous reputation for herself as a criminal, and Ti is the one who arrested her. They also find Quinlan Vos, undercover as Korto Vos.

Ti offers to let the prisoners go free if they help infiltrate Shogar Tok's fortress.

Meanwhile, Master Agen Kolar is captured and is being held by Tok.

Ti sends Lyshaa to take control of Tok's mind with her Zeltronian abilities. Lyshaa betrays Ti, however, and shoots her, offering to become Tok's queen. Unfortunately for her, she didn't kill Ti with her shot. Ti gets up and kills Tok.

Ti then tells Lyshaa to surrender. Lyshaa wrongly assumes Lyshaa is going to kill her no matter and so kills herself instead.

The Jedi / Republic finally win the battle and free Master Kolar.
