Hearing that Odion is on his way to Vanahame, his grandmother, Vilia, orders Daiman and the rest of the family to intercept him.
As Odion comes into orbit, he orders the people on the surface to turn out the lights on the children in the bubbles. Having never been in complete darkness before, they become extremely afraid and their fear feeds the Helm.
When Odion puts it on, everyone around him, and even on distant planets, begins fighting. The Helm has allowed him to cause more death than ever.
Kerra convinces Yulan to go down to Vanahame and help the children while she breaks free of her constraints and battles Odion himself.
Odion feels the power of the Helm diminishing and then reversing as Yulan turns the lights back on and then frees the children from their bubbles. The joy being channeled through the Helm kills Odion.
Daiman takes over Odion's empire.
