"Star Wars: Agent of the Empire: Hard Targets #1" Plot Summary

Writer: John Ostrander

Jahan Cross (center) visits his home planet of Alderaan for the anniversary of Bail Organa's (right) ascendancy to the throne. Cross is an ambassador for the Emperor.

Cross is friendly with Princess Leia and Winter.

Count Adan Dooku of Serenno and his ten-year-old son, Bron, are also in attendance. Adan is the nephew of the infamous Count Dooku. He was raised on Alderaan and so was immune from being connected with the Sith lord's crimes. He and Bail are old friends. Now Bail asks him to join in a rebellion against the Emperor.

As they are talking, Jahan Cross (wearing Mandalorian armor) snipes Adan. Candra Tymon (left), the Duke's head of security, gives chase, but Cross escapes.

At the Office of Imperial Intelligence, Agent Ysanne Isard tells Cross that Dooku was not an enemy of the Empire. Cross was sent to kill him simply because someone else wants to be regent of Serenno.

Cross is then told to assist his father, Davim, in helping Rodas Borgin become regent.

Ten days later, Boba Fett is on a mission in Carannia, capital city of the planet Serenno, where he is fighting Cross. Cross' mission is to keep Fett from accomplishing his. We'll have to wait to find out what exactly that mission may be.
