The cousins are heirs to the Empress Teta system, but have formed a cult, called the Krath, in worship of the Dark Side. When they learn that the Dark Side is still active on Onderon, they go there, but have to break through the Republic fleet to do so, and end up crash landing in the capital city, Iziz.

As the Jedi fight the Naddists for control of Iziz city, Satal and Aleema bring the book to King Ommin. He has still has Arca bound up. He plans to convert Arca into a Dark Jedi.

The Jedi soon break through the wall of Iziz and storm King Ommin's base. As they are defeating him and rescuing Arca, the spirit of Freedon Nadd leads Satal and Aleema to safety.
