"Star Wars: Jedi Council - Acts of War" Plot Summary

Writer: Randy Stradley

Yinchorri attack Mayvitch 7, a moon of the planet Amador, and destroy a mining base. The Yinchorri are a relatively new world to be admitted to the Galactic Senate and they have become obsessed with the new technology of other worlds. As a primarily warrior race, they believe in the right of conquest. They are also immune to Jedi mind control, have cortosis shields (the only thing that can defend against a lightsaber), and have already killed two Jedi (Naeshahn and Ebor Taulk) sent to intervene.

Mace Windu (front center of cover) decides to lead a mission to Yinchorr while Emperor Palpatine hires Vilmarh Grahrk to kill the Jedi.

The Jedi team splits into three groups, each searching a different planet in the Yinchorri system for their secret command center. Mace takes Saesee Tiin , Qui-Gon Jinn, and Obi-Wan Kenobi with him to Yinchorr. Adi Galia, Eeth Koth, Tsui Choi, and Theen Fida are sent to the waterworld, Yitheeth. Plo Koon, Micah Giett, Lilit Twoseas, and K'kruhk go to Yibikkoror.

As the Jedi enter Yinchorri space, they are immediately attacked, but all manage to land on their respective destinations.

On Coruscant, a group of Yinchorri warriors attack the Jedi Temple, but are easily killed under Yoda's leadership.

The Jedi on Yitheeth are attacked as soon as they enter the city. They soon defeat the Yinchorri and find Vilmarh Grahrk's cousin in command. When captured, he tells them that the command center is not on Yitheeth.

The Jedi on Yibikkoror are also attacked as soon as they land, but are soon rescued by Adi Gallia and the team from Yitheeth. Both teams then join the fight on Yinchorr.

In the battle, Lilit Twoseas is killed saving K'kruhk. Padawan Then Fida is also killed, then Micah Giett. As he is dying, Giett, uses his lightsaber to ignite the gas tank of one of the Jedi ships, blowing himself up as well as a large group of Yinchorri, thus buying the others time to escape on the other ship.

In the Senate, Chancellor Valorum is successful in passing a blockade sanction against the Yinchorri.

After questioning, Vilmarh's cousin tells the Jedi about a fourth planet in the Yinchorri system, which is where the command center is. When the Jedi and the Republic fleet attack this fourth world, the Yinchorri commanders quickly surrender. Vilmarh Grahrk has escaped.
